I can explain how the Preamble serves as an introduction to the U.S.
Constitution.
I can identify that the Preamble establishes the goals and purposes of the government.
– Identify six goals and purposes set forth in the Preamble (i.e. form a more perfect
union, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility, provide for the common
defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to
ourselves and our posterity).
I will recognize the intention of the phrase “We the People”.
