ELA learning target: Reading- Using anchor charts and visual instruction, students will identify the central idea and supporting details in a given text. Writing: Students will use proper conventions in their daily writing journals. Students will continue to edit and add details to an expository text about a topic by pulling details from a given text and placing them in a graphic organizer. Social Studies Target: Students will explain the purpose and need for government in terms of safety, organization, services, and protection of rights. |
