Monday (1/30/23)

  • Dominant & Recessive traits. Dominant and Recessive Traits 
    • Tally up what traits all the students in class have. 
    • Then do the math and  find the percentages you have. 

Tuesday (1/31/23)

Wednesday (2/2/22)

Thursday & Friday (2/2 & 2/3/23)

  • Bell Ringer
  • Draw a chromosome and label, p-arm, q-arm, chromatid, centromere, & telomere. (30 min) 
    • You will attach it and submit it with your lab at the end of class.
    • You will be able to identify the order from biggest to smallest of (Chromosomes, cells, DNA, nucleus, and amino acids)
  •  DNA Extraction of Wheat Germ (50 min) – Worksheet Wheat Germ DNA extraction

    • First read the front of the worksheet and answer question 1 through 4. Then you will write a hypothesis from the question. Remember your hypothesis should contain if, then, and because in it. Next you will watch the video on how to complete the lab. After you will answer all the questions on the back of the worksheet. Due 2/2 or 2/3/23) by the end of class.

  • Review Cell Organelles (30 min) Cell Organelles Review
    • Look up and fill in all the organelles in the cell.
