I will recognize the concept of the common good as a rationale for fulfilling the obligations and/or responsibilities of citizenship.
I will distinguish between obligations, responsibilities, and duties.
I will compare different forms of government (direct democracy, representative democracy, socialism, communism, monarchy, oligarchy, autocracy).
I will compare the organizational structures of systems of government (parliamentary, federal, confederal, and unitary).

2. Review the legal means of becoming a United States citizen.
3. Read the Oath of Allegiance and discuss the purpose.
