Hello Families,
Tues: This week students learned about what makes science, science! They also learned about pseudoscience and the main principles that separate these areas of study.
W: Students also learned about Scientific Theories and Scientific Laws.
TH/FRI: We concluded the week by using PHET Simulators to investigate Energy Transformations. Students accessed the Energy Skatepark and Pendulum simulations. The link below links to the main website with dozens of free models and simulations.

Graded assignments this week: KE and PE using the Pendulum Lab
STUDENTS HAVE THEIR FIRST SCIENCE EXAM ON TH/FRI 9/15-9/16
The exam will be counted as students’ first summative and is quite difficult. Students are encouraged to review previous presentations and be familiar with the content in pages 1-10 of their science binder sections.
We will use next M-W as a time to further prepare for the exam.
