I hope you are all safe and doing well. I miss my students dearly! I am here for you and the kids to call me for any help they need navigating through their classwork. I would love to set up a time to contact them just to check in and see them also. I will be doing this through Microsoft Team. This can be done through the students VPortal. They will log into VPortal and then go to Office 365 and then go to the Team icon. I will contact you this way during the first phone call which will leave my information for you and/or the students to contact me when needed.
We will also be conducting a little reading contest to help encourage the students to be reading daily. They can use the Learning Ally app to find a number of books to read. The app reads aloud and highlights as the story is read. This is a great way to aid in fluency and enjoy reading. The User name and password are their first and last name, ex. amyeckman. The student that has the most books read by the return of school will receive a prize.
I need for you to help me out by doing the following things:
*Log on to Remind by plugging in @ihele (This is another mode of contact)
*Email me a time that would best work with your schedule to speak on MICROSOFT team with you/students (Please make sure this app is on during those times. You or the students can use this to contact me for help. I will have it on from 10-2, but can make different arrangements if needed.)
*Navigate Learning Ally and VPortal Microsoft Team and then I can help you with any questions you may have when I call.
